Job Description

The Lead Bank Teller/Universal Banker Associate Lead (UBAL) is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the branch are completed in a satisfactory and expeditious manner; and displaying a positive attitude and the highest levels of professionalism within the branch and to ensure every customer or potential customer receives excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Takes the lead in ensuring that all customers receive prompt and efficient service while opening new accounts within established policies and procedures.

• Reviews customers’ account information looking for opportunities to cross-sell bank products and meeting bank goals for new business development.

• Performs daily branch operations duties including new accounts, processing, and maintaining account information and back counter corrections.

• Utilizes knowledge and experience in exercising discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems and answering questions.

• Assists on the Teller Line, when necessary, to ensure that customers are served promptly.

• Oversees workflow in the branch and may assist or provide guidance on employee scheduling.

• Responsible for managing employee overtime.

• Monitors the levels of control within the branch on an on-going basis and addresses any deficiencies.

• Provides on-going training, coaching, counseling and encouraging career path development by all employees. Ensures that all employees are cross trained at the branch level and enforces that security procedures and internal controls are effective.

• Oversees the branch’s over/short accounts and ensures that out-of-balance conditions are researched and resolved timely.

• Ensures that an adequate supply of cash is available for bank operations, while keeping within authorized established cash limits.

• Responsible for all operational issues in the branch, to include, but not limited to the following prepares monthly branch reports, ATM, maintains branch supplies, employee schedules, security issues, audits, reports, facility, and equipment maintenance, check approvals, and overrides.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of Banking Experience

• Experience leading/managing jr. UBA's/Tellers

• Team player with a strong desire to learn, exercise good leadership skills, independent judgment, discretionary thinking, creativity and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and listening skills, in person and over the phone, to acquire new clients, retain existing relationships, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, and deepen relationships.

• Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in the work environment.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, problem prevention, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to speak concisely.

• Ability to anticipate common customer concerns and analyze current procedures and processes for available improvements.

• Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

• Networking and prospecting skills.

Compensation: Up to $22/hr (Based on experience) + health/dental/vision/PTO/401k benefits
